Project applications


We are accepting project applications into our project pool.


All life scientists at University of Wyoming performing research that may benefit from a bioinformaticians perspective are encouraged to send a 1 page project description to UW Bioinformatics. It is preferable if the project description also includes potential bioinformatics related questions of interest, but these can also be discussed at a later point.



Priority ranking


Projects with focus on protein structure, function or evolution are given high priority as we are familiar with the field. This opens up for two possibilities: we can teach your group how to do the analysis (under UW Bioinformatics supervision) or UW Bioinformatics can perform the analysis.


Projects within other bioinformatics fields will be accepted as well, but as they will require more research into methodology on UW Bioinformatics behalf, these projects are more involved. However, as UW Bioinformatics welcomes opportunities to acquire new knowledge or to work on interesting projects, these projects will be given a medium priority.


Less defined projects may initially be given low priority, but as they become more defined the priority can increase. UW Bioinformatics will also provide guidance on how to define bioinformatics related projects (see Service List).


Junior faculty is given higher priority than senior faculty.
